Configurator runs sales, production, installation, and service for sun‑protection, outdoor‑living, and door manufacturers — 30+ producers across the Nordics, Poland, and Spain, with dealers in 16 countries.
Every order is configured, cut, assembled, and delivered to a measured opening. Our customers ship in Norway, Sweden, Poland, and Spain, and sell through dealer networks reaching sixteen countries.
The category we know best. Where we cut our teeth and where most of our customers operate.
Pergolas and terrace structures. Configurations with motors, glass, weather stations, lighting.
Garage doors, entry doors, and carports with the same configuration, BOM, and installation flow as the rest of the platform.
From the moment a dealer opens the configurator to the moment a service technician closes a warranty case — quote, order, cut‑list, work order, label, dispatch, install report, ticket. All linked back to the original order.
Visual configurator with live pricing. Quotes that convert to orders. A dealer portal with their own pricing and language.
Cut‑list optimization, BOM explosion, work orders that route through the right stations, with labels printed at each one.
Installers see today's jobs on a phone, log hours and photos, capture customer signatures, and flag snags before leaving site.
Tickets, warranty decisions, spare parts, full case history. Every email, site visit, and replacement attached to the order it belongs to.
We are based in Oslo with development in Poland. Our sister company, Fiega, builds the cutting machines that many of our customers run on the shop floor.
Configurator started with two brothers and a problem. One built a cutting machine and a small piece of software to optimize how it ran. The other found the first customer who needed it.
The customer grew, the software grew with them, and in 2016 we moved off the desktop and onto the web — so that sellers, then dealers, then installers, then service technicians could all work in the same place.
That first customer now ships 500 orders a day in season. We still ship them new features.
The platform is shaped by a long view: more than ten years building only configurators for sun‑protection, outdoor‑living, garage doors and carports. We know what a ZIP screen needs that a kitchen cabinet does not.
Configurator runs the operations: orders, configurations, cutting, BOM, labels, shipping, installation, service. It connects to the systems you already run for the rest.
Configurator runs operations end to end. It tracks invoice numbers, invoice dates, prepayments, and credit notes — and hands actual banking, e‑invoicing (EHF / Peppol), and e‑signature off to your ERP.
A custom calculation, a non‑standard discount rule, a one‑off integration with a regional carrier — these are normal Tuesdays for us, not change requests parked for next year.
We meet in person a few times a year — usually somewhere with better weather than Oslo in February. The rest of the time we ship software for manufacturers who depend on it.
Most configurators ask you to fit your business into their model. Configurator is built to do the opposite. The platform is multi‑tenant, but every customer carries its own products, rules, UI, translations, and integrations.
That flexibility is in the architecture. New behavior lands as scripted rules and product definitions, version‑controlled, isolated per customer, deployed without touching the core.
This is why a customer who started with us in 2016 with a handful of products now ships 500 a day — and still gets new features on the same platform.
The procedures and controls required for SOX and ISAE 3402 are in place today; certification follows the standard six‑month operating‑effectiveness period before sign‑off. We are mid‑process and on track.
In plain language: the way we handle access, change management, deployment, backup, and incident response is documented, controlled, and reviewable — not improvised.
We will tell you honestly whether we are a fit before anyone signs anything. Send a note and we will be in touch within a working day.
